About Craig Herring

Craig Herring, MD, is a board-certified emergency medicine physician at Penn Highlands Tyrone. Dr. Herring has more than three decades of experience in emergency medicine, and he provides highly specialized care for serious and life-threatening conditions. Dr. Herring has spent the majority of his career practicing in Pennsylvania, and he now offers his expertise to patients in Tyrone and the surrounding communities. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Society and Pennsylvania Medicine Society. Dr. Herring's research includes blood pressure measurements in premature infants with respiratory distress syndrome and neural mechanisms of taste in the rat. He served in a clinical clerkship at the U.S. Department of Health, Indian Health Service, in Dulce, N.M., where he served the Jicarilla Apache Indians.
