Christopher P. Varacallo, DO, CAQSM, FAAFP is a physician practicing sports medicine and interventional orthopedics, specializing in advanced, image-guided procedures that bridge the gap between traditional orthopedics and surgery.

His practice centers on precision ultrasound-guided interventions for tendon disease, osteoarthritis, nerve entrapment, and chronic joint pain. He performs high-volume minimally invasive procedures including percutaneous tenotomy, micro-invasive carpal tunnel release, orthobiologic injections, and neuromodulation techniques designed to reduce pain, restore function, and delay or prevent surgery.

As Program Director of the Penn Highlands Healthcare Sports Medicine Fellowship and Medical Director for Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Services, Dr. Varacallo plays a key leadership role in expanding interventional musculoskeletal care throughout the region.
